OPATIJA
The city of Opatija is situated in the North-eastern part of Istra, 200
km from Zagreb, 110 km from Trieste (Italy) and 250 km from Venice (Italy).

Public Transport service "APT" runs
coaches to TRIESTE. Tickets can be purchased at the bus stations or at the
airport (either at the Post Office or at the bar on the first floor). Coach
schedules and information are available at http://www.aptgorizia.it/sez_aeroporto_ts.php
Please make sure to ask for the coach arriving at
the Trieste bus station. The price of the ticket is 2,60 Euros.
In Trieste, the train station and the bus station
are located right next to each other. Buses depart from the main bus
station in Trieste, situated at Piazza della Liberta 11. There are
five buses per day from Trieste to Opatija (Rijeka). The buses
leave Trieste at 08:30, 12:30, 13:30 (every day except Sunday and Monday),
17:30 and the last at 19:15 (except Sunday and Monday). The priece is
approximately 7 Euros and the ride takes approximately 2 hours.
