Information about Luzern/Lucerne:About Lucerne:Lucerne is a unique city of spires nestled on Lake Lucerne, 436 metres above sea level. Backed by rolling hills, the ten towers of Musegg Wall which extends around the city are all perfectly preserved. To the west of Lucerne lies the Hirschengraben, which borders the Old Town: to the east lies Abbey Court Church. Although the Hof Bridge and many of Lucerne's towers were destroyed in the 19th century, many historical buildings have been preserved.
