The UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (the operative body of the UNESCO Convention) met in December 2007, June 2008 and December 2008. INCD has been an active participant at each meeting. You will find here all of the INCD submissions, some of which were made jointly with other non-governmental organizations attending the meeting.

In these letters, the INCD Steering Committee urges United States President Barack Obama to join the the global consensus on cultural diversity by acting to ratify the UNESCO Convention.
- Yvon Thiec is Chair of INCDEurope. In this article, M. Thiec puts forward a proposal on how European countries which are Parties to the Convention, as well as the European Commission should contribute to the International Fund for Cultural Diversity. On behalf of INCD, M. Thiec made this submission at the December 2008 Asia-Europe meeting on the importance of the Convention.
- In this article, INCD Executive Director Garry Neil reviews the background to the Convention and analyzes the outcome against the objectives of its key proponents. The article appears in the book Convention on the protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions: Making it work, edited by Nina Obuljen and Joost Smiers and published in 2006 by the CultureLink.
